What is EFT Tapping?

EFT Tapping—what is it and what it can do?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping is a type of alternative therapy that involves tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on a particular issue. EFT tapping has gained popularity in recent years for its ability to reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional distress.

Especially since it can be done in just a few minutes while watching a video on YouTube! We’ve included some of our favorite EFT pracitioners below.

What is EFT Tapping?

EFT tapping is a form of acupressure that is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves tapping on specific energy meridians on the body while focusing on a particular issue or emotion. EFT tapping is often used to address emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as physical symptoms such as pain, headaches, and digestive problems.

But really it can be used to address anything, including positive things that you’d like to bring into your life. There are tapping videos out there that focus on things like raising your income, feeling lovable, or confidently using your voice.

How does EFT Tapping work?

EFT tapping is based on the principle that negative emotions are caused by disruptions in the body’s energy system. By tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on a particular issue, EFT tapping is believed to help restore balance to the body’s energy system and alleviate negative emotions.

During an EFT tapping session, the practitioner will guide the client through a series of tapping sequences on specific energy meridians on the body while focusing on the issue or emotion. The client will repeat a series of phrases while tapping on each point, which is believed to help release negative emotions and restore balance to the body’s energy system.

Should I do EFT tapping or reiki?

EFT and Reiki are both holistic healing modalities that aim to promote emotional and physical well-being. EFT tapping is an active form of alternative therapy that is primarily focused on releasing negative emotions and promoting emotional healing. Reiki on the other hand, is one where you might set aside some time to relax while you receive it as it is is focused on promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and improving overall well-being.

Both can be very helpful for similar issues or desired changes, and both have a place in a wellness practice!

With remote Reiki you can experience the same gentle energy healing as you would in-person, without ever leaving your house. Contact to book a session: thegoodheal@gmail.com
